Hi, I am in the process of replacing the plywood floor of my old fiberglass boat. I'm very mechanically inclined, but it is mostly automotive, not so much marine construction. Dude looking good so far,,,,better to have a oil base paint and good primer, better yet would be epoxi paint made for painting wood boats , for a rubber mat mite look at getting doormat , put one in the bottom of my jon makes a great flooring going to buy another one for my front deck, heavy enough to stay in place by itself, and it is water repellent which would help keep your plywood dryer ...

Putting down a new deck every couple of years does not seem like a reasonable repair to me. A work boat that sees lots of wear and abuse, may require this type of treatment, but a pleasure boat should not have to.
